Traditional Knowledge and Language
The Traditional Knowledge & Language (TKL) Sector works to revitalize the Ktunaxa language and transfer the traditional knowledge to Ktunaxanin̓tik.
The work plan is based on the interim Ktunaxa Language Revitalization Strategy and has four main goals:
1) Empowering Ktunaxa-centered education
2) Creating synergy with Ktunaxa First Nations and KNC
3) Building institutional capacity
4) Securing reliable and credible partners.
Social Investment
The Social Investment Sector provides social services and supports to the Ktunaxa First Nations and Ktunaxanin̓tik, such as health, wellness, complex care, and outreach.

The Lands & Resources Sector works with the Ktunaxa First Nations to manage, conserve, and protect the lands and resources within ʔamakʔis Ktunaxa.

Education and Employment
Mission: “We are Ktunaxa Citizen-Centered, working creatively and strategically with ʔaqⱡsmaknik̓ in ʔamaʔkis Ktunaxa to support & empower Indigenous people in reaching their full potential, achieving self-sufficiency and overall desired quality of life.”
The Education and Employment Sector aims to support and empower the Ktunaxa citizens and clients in reaching their full potential in education and employment.
Economic and Investment
Mission: “To cultivate a healthy, self-sufficient Ktunaxa economy. Along with communities, partners and neighbours, achieve sustainable economic growth through equitable access to economic resources and opportunities, while respecting Ktunaxa culture and values.”
The Economic & Investment Sector supports the economic development and capacity building of the Ktunaxa First Nations and entrepreneurs.
Core Services
As the service department for the Ktunaxa Nation Council, Core Services is responsible organization wide for Communications, Facilities and Capital Acquisitions, Maintenance, and Information Technology (IT).
Our Finance, HR, and Policy and Quality Assurance teams are also a function of Core Services; these teams report directly to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).
